Desert Treasure Slot: Camels, Scorpios, and More

Like the Desert Treasure. Think of it as a Prince of Persia visits a casino.

Technical overview: Desert Treasure slot
The Desert Treasure slot has come into our radar only recently.
Yet, in fact, it’s one of the classic slots from Playtech (home of the famous Marvel slots like the Incredible Hulk). It was released in the mid-2000s.
The game already has thousands of loyal fans around the world, despite what would some call outdated visuals.
There may be other reasons for its success throughout the years. It’s a low volatility slot suitable for beginners.
And the theme itself hasn’t been that overused. There are of course slots that explore similar themes.
Yet, most of them are 10 or more years old, while today’s slot developers rarely dig into the desert theme.
This is a standard 5-reel, 3-row slot with 20 paylines. The minimum bet per line is 0.01, while the maximum is 5.
Jackpot is fixed at 10,000 coins, meaning that the real prize, depending on your bet, can be from £10,000 to £1 million.
The theoretical return to player ratio is 97%, which is quite high.
All of that does confirm that the Desert Treasure slot is suitable for beginners due to its low price per spin and relatively high return.
However, the slot has 10 symbols, including the Scatter and the Wilds.
Naturally, the more symbols there are, the harder it becomes to hit combinations. 10 is not tremendous, there are plenty of slots with only 7 or 8 symbols.
But it’s also not the worst.
Desert Treasure slot features
As far as the features go, Desert Treasure slot offers a few surprises. But first, something what you may already know.
The Wild in this game is represented by the Golden Cobra symbol. As usual, the Wild replaces all symbols except the Scatter.
Speaking of which, the Scatter is the Arabian Princess. When you hit 3 of these symbols, the Desert Treasure slot rewards you with 10 free spins.
Even better, all wins during this round are tripled.
Now, for the unique. You will find two special symbols: a Compass and a Map.
Each of these symbols (when appear on at least 3 the reels) reward you with an instant cash prize.
If you like Desert Treasure
If you like the Desert Treasure slot, but not enough to play it all the time, there are other games you might want to try.
The obvious answer would be the Book of Ra. Not really a ‘sandy’ slot, but it does explore the treasure hunting theme.
Out of not-so-obvious alternatives, you may want tot try:
A 20-payline slot from Red Tiger Gaming gives you access to the treasures of the Ancient Middle-East.
It also offers something unique, like a daily jackpot that must be given out to someone before the midnight. Or the new Rapid jackpot feature.
And if you like Gonzo’s Quest-type of multiplier on every win, this slot has it too!
The Sand Princess
The Sand Princes is a relatively new slot, developed by 2 By 2 Gaming.
Here the stakes go up a bit (minimum bet 0.30) but 30-paylines and nice features (like the Stacked Wild) come along.
It’s has a similar theme to the Desert Treasure, but, arguably, is a much more visually appealing slot.
The name we can’t leave out is the Arabian Nights slot from the world-famous NetEnt.
If you know the developer, you might expect a gorgeous, feature-packed slot. Gorgeous it is not. It’s a very old Vegas slot.
However, it does have its perks.
For example, only 10-paylines, great mobile optimizations (something Desert Treasure lacks), and a progressive jackpot, which currently stands at £1 million.
